The Orange Lantern |
Primary Cuisine: American
Now in the third generation of Faatz family ownership, The Orange Lantern was purchased by Grandpa Herman after he sold his milk business, Paramus Dairy, in 1933. The existing gas station, package store, and bar were converted to a bar and restaurant -- known as The Orange Lantern.
Shortly thereafter, Grandpa Herman died and son Eugene "Bus" gained control, running The Orange Lantern until retirement in the 1980s. That's when Gene, the current owner, took over.
Although it's not known exactly who will take over when Gene retires, Gene's grandson (Grandpa Herman's great, great grandson) Stephen looks like a good candidate.
